Adjuster Counteroffer Analysis and Response Letter for Personal Injury Claims
Tests each reason the adjuster gave against your demand package, separates the reasons the record answers from the ones that expose a real weakness, proposes a counter using only your figures, and drafts the response letter.
The Prompt
Variables (8)
| Variable | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| {{client_name}} | Client Name | Maria Gonzalez |
| {{claim_stage}} | Stage of the Claim | Pre-suit |
| {{prior_demand_amount}} | Last Demand (USD) | 185000 |
| {{counteroffer_amount}} | Adjuster's Counteroffer (USD) | 42500 |
| {{client_authority_floor}} | Client's Settlement Authority (USD) | 95000 |
| {{attorney_valuation_figures}} | Attorney-Supplied Valuation Figures | My evaluation range: $110,000 to $150,000. Target $125,000. Do not move below $160,000 on this round. Prior moves: demand $200,000 then $185,000; insurer $30,000 then $42,500. |
| {{adjuster_counteroffer}} | Adjuster's Counteroffer and Stated Reasons | Full text of the adjuster's letter or email dated 09/18/2026, including the reasons given (treatment gap, prior neck complaints, low property damage). |
| {{demand_package}} | Demand Package | Demand letter, medical records and bills with page numbers, wage documentation, police report, photographs list. |
Expected Output
Part 1, attorney-only notes (reason-by-reason table with the adjuster's reason quoted, classification, record quotation with reference and response; real weaknesses; damages reconciliation with line-by-line arithmetic; position map with a recommended counter and bracket built from your figures; conflicts between sources; unsupported statements declined; declined requests; Missing information); Part 2, a clean response letter to the adjuster; and a closing Verification list.
Usage Notes
Use after an adjuster answers a demand with a counteroffer and reasons. Attach the adjuster's full letter or email and the demand package with page-numbered records, and supply your own evaluation range, movement limits and next moves; without them the bracket comes back as "Bracket not supplied". Failure mode to watch for: the weakness analysis, the bracket or the client's authority leaking into the letter, an opinion attributed to a provider whose note does not state it, or a record quotation that does not match the page cited; send only Part 2, and only after checking each quotation and obtaining the client's approval of the number. Read the document part line by line before it leaves the office: in testing, a small model sometimes left an internal remark, a comparison with the file or an unresolved point inside the document despite the instructions. Not legal advice. The attorney remains responsible for verifying every fact, figure and authority before use.
Double-check before use
- Check that the recommended counter respects any floor you set. In testing, a figure below the stated floor was once recommended.
