UM/UIM Claim Demand Letter to the Client's Own Insurer with Policy Conditions Check
Drafts an uninsured or underinsured motorist claim letter to the client's own carrier from the policy text you paste, and flags every notice, exhaustion and consent-to-settle condition whose compliance is not shown in your materials.

Expected Output
Part 1, attorney-only notes (policy provisions relied on, verbatim with page or section, and provisions missing; conditions compliance table; conditions not shown as satisfied with the action needed for each; damages arithmetic with running subtotals; conflicts between sources; unsupported statements declined; declined requests; Missing information); Part 2, a clean UM/UIM claim letter to the carrier; and a closing Verification list.
Usage Notes
Use when opening or advancing a UM or UIM claim with the client's own carrier. Paste the complete policy including general conditions and endorsements, the tortfeasor's limits and settlement status, and every notice already sent with its date. Part 1 is for the file; only Part 2 is meant to leave the office. Failure mode to watch for: settling with the tortfeasor or releasing them before a consent or exhaustion condition in the policy is satisfied. A condition marked "Not shown" or "Conflict" is deliberately kept out of the letter and reported in Part 1: treat each one as an open task and decide yourself how to address it with the carrier. Check the damages total against your own addition and the quoted provisions against the certified policy copy. Read the document part line by line before it leaves the office: in testing, a small model sometimes left an internal remark, a comparison with the file or an unresolved point inside the document despite the instructions. Not legal advice. The attorney remains responsible for verifying every fact, figure and authority before use.
Double-check before use
- Check that the letter neither mentions nor asks about a policy condition your notes flag as unmet.
- Check that every item the letter calls enclosed is in the enclosure list.

Legal Sources Referenced
- Fed. R. Evid. 408 (offers and statements made in compromise negotiations are not admissible to prove or disprove the validity or amount of a disputed claim)
