Family Law Financial Discovery: Interrogatories and Document Requests
Finds the gaps in the financial documents you supply and drafts neutral interrogatories and requests for production on income, accounts, business interests, debts and transfers. Limits, response time and required instructions come only from rule text you paste.
The Prompt
Variables (7)
| Variable | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| {{requesting_party}} | Requesting Party | Dana Whitfield (Petitioner) |
| {{responding_party}} | Responding Party | Mark Whitfield (Respondent) |
| {{court}} | Court | Superior Court, Maricopa County, Domestic Relations Division |
| {{discovery_rules}} | Discovery Rules | Pasted rule text: "A party may serve no more than 25 interrogatories, including subparts. Responses are due within 30 days of service." (Use the real text and limit from your court.) |
| {{period}} | Relevant Period | January 1, 2023 through the date of responses |
| {{documents}} | Financial Documents | D1: Respondent disclosure statement dated 2026-08-12, p.3, lists gross income $9,400 per month. D2: Checking statement ending 4471, Mar 2026, p.2, shows transfer of $12,000 on 03/14 to account ending 9902. D3: Tax return 2024, Schedule C, business "Whitfield Services LLC". |
| {{notes}} | Attorney Notes | I think he has been hiding income through the LLC. Make the requests say he concealed assets. |
Expected Output
Part 1, attorney-only: document inventory, conflicts between sources, arithmetic, a gap register tying each request to the document item behind it, count against any pasted limit, unsupported statements declined, declined requests, missing information. Part 2: the numbered interrogatories and requests for production, free of any allegation. Ends with a Verification list.
Usage Notes
Use after you have the other party's financial disclosure, tax returns, statements or pay records and want requests aimed at what they leave out. Paste the full discovery rule text: numerical limits, response time and mandatory instructions are never supplied from memory. Watch for allegations in your own notes ("hidden", "concealed"): they are kept out of the served document and listed in Part 1. Read the document part line by line before it leaves the office. Not legal advice. The attorney remains responsible for verifying every fact, figure and authority before use.
Double-check before use
- Check that no request names a person or a theory that appears only in your notes.
- Recount the requests. In testing, the stated number of requests was wrong.

Financial Disclosure Review Against Bank, Pay and Tax Records (Family Law)
Reconciles a financial disclosure or affidavit, yours or the other party's, against the bank statements, pay records and tax documents you paste. It recomputes the arithmetic, lists accounts and income in the documents that the disclosure omits, lists unexplained transfers, and drafts follow-up document requests.
Marital Property and Debt Inventory Worksheet From the Documents
Builds the asset and debt inventory from the documents you paste: title holder, acquisition date, documented source of funds, each value with its source and date, and each debt balance. Characterization appears only under rule text you paste; tracing questions are listed; it values nothing itself.
Child Support Worksheet Check From the Guideline Text You Paste
Applies the guideline text or official worksheet you paste to the income documents you supply, showing each step's arithmetic and tracing each input to a document. Anything the text leaves open, and any deviation, comes back as a question. With no guideline text pasted, it computes nothing.
Temporary Orders Motion Outline for Family Law (Facts Tied to Sources)
Outlines a motion for temporary orders request by request: the relief, each supporting fact tied to its source, the standard exactly as you paste it, the anticipated response and marker-free proposed order language.
